Can I buy tickets if I live outside Nevada?

Yes — if you are physically located within Nevada at the time of purchase.

Silver State Lottery welcomes participants from across the United States, including California and other states, as long as the ticket purchase takes place within the geographic boundaries of Nevada. Residency is not the determining factor — location at the time of transaction is.



Who Can Buy a Ticket?
To legally purchase a ticket from Silver State Lottery, all participants must meet the following criteria:

Be at least 18 years of age

Be physically present in any district within the State of Nevada at the time of purchase

Successfully complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification

Complete the transaction on a location-enabled device with location services active

This means you can live anywhere in the United States — California, Texas, Florida, etc. — and still participate as long as you are inside Nevada when you buy the ticket.



Examples of Legal Participation for Out-of-State Residents:
A California resident visiting Las Vegas for the weekend can log into their account, verify their location, and purchase a ticket from their phone or laptop while physically in Nevada.

A tourist driving through Nevada can stop at a rest area, enable location services, and purchase a ticket legally.

A friend or family member who lives in Nevada may be able to purchase a ticket on your behalf if done under their own verified account and in full compliance with our Terms of Use. (Please consult our terms for transfer and gifting policies.)



What Is Not Allowed:
You cannot purchase a ticket from outside Nevada using a VPN, masked location, or Nevada mailing address while physically in another state.

You cannot bypass geolocation controls or allow unverified users to submit transactions.

You cannot claim winnings if the purchase was made in violation of state gaming laws.
